Road wins may have helped shape the League Championship Series field, but Cleveland’s Game 5 went to the home team

Three Division Series ended on the road: the Dodgers in Atlanta, the Brewers in San Diego (snapping a 12-game postseason road losing streak dating to 2018) and the Rays in New York. Cleveland won Games 3 and 4 in Chicago after an 0-2 home start, then won Game 5 at home, 2-0, ESPN and AP reported. Read together, road wins may have helped shape the LCS field, though the Guardians’ decider went the other way.
