Protests in Germany and France may show officials separating marchers from rioters
Youth-led cost-of-living protests across Germany on Saturday, Oct. 31, were largely peaceful during the day but turned violent after dark, the BBC and AFP reported. Read together, they may show officials separating peaceful marchers from smaller groups they described, though our archive has not reported independent findings on who carried out the violence.
