Powder letters and an alleged car attack may show officials’ local offices at risk
More than three dozen members of Congress have had their offices targeted with envelopes containing white powder, The Guardian reported Monday, Oct. 19, and election offices in at least 15 states had reported suspicious mail, ABC News reported. In Australia, police allege a man intentionally struck MP Helen Haines with a four-wheel drive outside her electorate office, AAP reported. Read together, the cases may show officials’ local offices as a point of exposure.
