ALCS rainout and Game 4 tie may squeeze October’s schedule

Major League Baseball postponed Friday’s ALCS Game 4 in Cleveland because of rain and wiped out Sunday’s off-day, MLB.com reported. The Tampa Bay Rays then beat the Guardians 7-3 on Saturday to tie the series 2-2, with Game 5 scheduled for Sunday at Progressive Field. Together, the rainout and the tie may show October’s calendar compressing both clubs’ plans.
