Braves even NLDS with 3-2 win in L.A.; Brewers walk off Padres to go up 2-0

Michael Harris II powered Atlanta past the Dodgers, and Jackson Chourio’s two-out single off Mason Miller gave Milwaukee a 4-3 walk-off. Both National League series move to the road teams’ parks Tuesday.

Braves 3, Dodgers 2 (Los Angeles): Michael Harris II tripled and scored the go-ahead run on reliever Kris Bubic’s wild pitch in the fifth inning, then added an RBI double in the seventh, as Atlanta evened the series at a game apiece Sunday night, the AP reported via CBS Sports. Mauricio Dubón’s two-out, bases-loaded single gave Atlanta a 1-0 lead in the first; Freddie Freeman tied it in the fourth. After Mookie Betts walked and Shohei Ohtani singled to open the fifth, Atlanta’s bullpen retired 14 consecutive Dodgers. Max Muncy’s ninth-inning homer off Didier Fuentes cut it to 3-2 before Raisel Iglesias got the final out for the save.

The bullpen plan: The Braves started opener Ray Kerr, who held the Dodgers scoreless for 2 2/3 innings, to give Chris Sale extra rest, MLB.com reported. Fuentes, 21, allowed one run over 3 2/3 innings with a four-seam fastball averaging 99.4 mph. Dodgers starter Blake Snell walked five and allowed one run on three hits, the AP said. Sale faces Yoshinobu Yamamoto in Game 3 Tuesday at 6 p.m. ET in Atlanta.

Brewers 4, Padres 3 (Milwaukee): Padres closer Mason Miller threw a perfect eighth but walked Christian Yelich, Sal Frelick and pinch-hitter Gary Sánchez in the ninth, and Jackson Chourio lined a two-out, two-strike, two-run single to center to end it, MLB.com reported. It was Miller’s first blown save in a walk-off loss in 2026 and the third walk-off postseason win in Brewers history. Milwaukee leads 2-0 and is one win from the NL Championship Series as the series shifts to San Diego for Game 3 on Tuesday.

AL schedule: The American League Division Series resume Monday: White Sox at Guardians in Game 2 at 5 p.m. ET, with Chicago up 1-0, per Baseball-Reference, and Yankees at Rays at 8 p.m. ET, with Tampa Bay up 1-0, MLB.com reported.

What this means: After Sunday’s games, the Dodgers-Braves series is a best-of-three with Atlanta holding home field and a rested Sale, while Milwaukee needs one win in San Diego — where the Padres went 51-30 this season — to advance.
